The site now states separately what is established, what is inferred, what the 2024 documents record, and what remains unproved.
The site’s earlier pages were candid about uncertainty, but a visitor had to assemble the complete assessment from the FAQ, archive, bibliography, and succession narrative. The new State of the Claim places the controlling propositions in one auditable sequence.
The central distinction
There is strong evidence for a historical Manor of the Dungeon. There are also genuine documents executed in 2024. The missing proposition is the bridge between them: no public instrument presently connects the last plausible historical holder to the issuer of the modern documents.
The existence of the manor and the existence of the modern transaction are therefore recorded as established facts. Ownership of the historical lordship through that transaction is recorded as unestablished.
Revision policy
These findings are not frozen. A new deed, probate instrument, archival discovery, or authoritative legal determination may change the assessment. When that happens, the finding and the date of revision will be recorded rather than silently replaced.
